Dynamic QR codes are great, they have loads of benefits including:
 
  • QR code scan statistics that tell you how often they are scanned, when they are scanned, the device types your customers are using and in what geo-graphical location they are when they scan them
  • You can change the destination of the QR code, without having to change the code itself; so you can use your printed marketing materials for as long as you like while keeping your shared content current
  • As Dynamic QR codes usually use a “URL Shortener” they need to encode a lot less information, making them simpler, easier to scan and more attractive to your customers

  1. Have a very clear “call to action”; a solitary QR code in the corner of a poster is not going to attract attention. This is marketing right? After several months of hard work, we're delighted to release our brand new new website which now includes this blog.... so welcome to this our first blog post ever!

Over the years many "experts" have proclaimed the death of the humble QR code but the reality is QR codes remain the quickest way for your mobile customers to engage with your brand and shared content.

Just remember: QR codes are only one element of a successful marketing campaign, the normal rules of marketing still apply; for example when you use a QR code you need to make sure you include a call to action (scan the QR code) and a reason to scan it (a great new product, offer, discount, etc).
