1. Introduction

These terms govern your use of QRzing.com ("QRzing", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

QRzing provides static and dynamic QR codes. A dynamic QR code contains a short link on the qrzing.com domain which forwards anyone who scans it to a destination you choose, and which you can change at any time.

Because that redirect carries our domain name, how you use it affects everyone else who relies on QRzing. The rules below exist for that reason.

2. Your account

You must give accurate registration details and keep your login secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account.

One person or organisation may not operate multiple accounts in order to evade limits, suspension or these terms.

3. Acceptable use

You may use QRzing for any lawful purpose: marketing, packaging, signage, menus, asset tagging, events, personal use and so on. You are responsible for the destination your codes point to, and for having the right to use any brand, logo or content involved.

4. Prohibited uses

You must not create, distribute or point a QR code at anything that:

Deceives people about who they are dealing with
• Phishing, or any page designed to capture passwords, banking credentials, card details, one-time codes or identity documents
• Impersonating a bank, insurer, government body, delivery company, digital identity service or any other organisation
• Imitating a brand you are not authorised to represent

Causes technical harm
• Malware, ransomware, spyware or drive-by downloads
• Pages that exploit browser or device vulnerabilities

Is unlawful or seriously harmful
• Fraud or money laundering
• Child sexual abuse material
• Content inciting violence, terrorism or hatred
• Sale of items whose sale is illegal in the buyer's jurisdiction

Evades detection or abuses the service
• Pointing a code at a benign destination and changing it to a harmful one afterwards
• Chaining through other redirect or shortening services to conceal the true destination
• Automated or bulk account creation, or the use of disposable email addresses to obtain additional accounts
• Placing QR codes over other organisations' codes in public places

5. What we do about abuse

We want to be explicit about this, because we act on it.

We operate a zero-tolerance policy on phishing and impersonation. If any QR code on an account is found to point at phishing or impersonation infrastructure, we will:

Disable that code immediately and without notice. It will stop redirecting and will return an error to anyone who scans it.
Disable every other code on the same account, including any that appear legitimate.
Suspend the account, preventing sign-in and password recovery.
Retain the records — account details, registration IP address and time, browser and device information, every code created, its destination, and the number of times it was scanned.
Provide those records to law enforcement, to affected brands, or to abuse and anti-fraud organisations where we consider it appropriate or where we are lawfully required to.
Issue no refund for any paid period.

We do this without prior warning, because warning an active phishing operation only gives it time to move. We do not undertake to notify you before taking action.

We also block destinations on infrastructure we have found to be used predominantly for abuse — for example certain domains and free dynamic-DNS providers. If a legitimate destination of yours is blocked, tell us and we will review it promptly; see section 6.

Automated or bulk account creation, or evading a suspension by opening a new account, will result in suspension of all associated accounts.

6. Reporting abuse

If you have scanned a QRzing code that led somewhere harmful, or you believe a code is being used to impersonate you or your organisation, please tell us at qrzing.com/report-abuse or by email to abuse@qrzing.com.

You do not need a QRzing account to report abuse, and you do not need to be certain — we would rather review a report that turns out to be innocent than miss one that is not.

If you are contacting us because a legitimate destination has been blocked, use the same route and we will review it.

7. Service availability and limits

We provide the service on a best-efforts basis and do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Free accounts are subject to published limits on the number of dynamic codes and monthly scans; paid plans are subject to the limits of the plan purchased.

We may change plan limits with reasonable notice to existing customers.

8. Liability

You are responsible for the destinations your codes point to and for any consequences of distributing them. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified to account holders by email or on signing in. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
